In Yangzhou City, 104-year-old Wang Liangguo and 101-year-old Wang Liangfu have become the focus for their sharp senses and sturdy posture. They defy traditional health concepts, enjoying pork trotters and moderate wine, believing that mindset is key to longevity. The brothers worked in construction from the age of 12 and are now cared for by their descendants who take turns visiting.

Background: A Life Dedicated to Construction

The brothers' lifestyle principles are full of practical meaning; they do not shy away from eating habits traditionally considered unhealthy, especially their enjoyment of wine and, of course, pork trotters. Wang Liangguo revealed that due to poor family circumstances during their childhood, the brothers embarked on a career in construction at a young age. Elder brother Wang Liangguo, born in 1923 and second in the family order, and younger brother Wang Liangfu, born in 1926 and third, dedicated their entire lives to the construction industry, traveling far and wide and participating in numerous large-scale construction projects. This history has shaped their resilient nature, making them full of vitality in their later years.

Nowadays, most of the brothers' descendants stay in the village and take turns hosting the elderly at home. Although they live in different places, the brothers still meet daily for a chat, or take walks together on fair days, maintaining strong bonds and healthy habits. The Yangzhou Municipal Government, through the Civil Affairs Bureau, arranges elderly care workers to visit them regularly to offer services such as free haircuts and nail trims, praising the brothers for their clear hearing and good sight as a blessing.

Wang Liangguo's second son, Wang Denghui, shared that the family elders have strict routines, going to bed and waking up early, and have excellent appetites, never being picky eaters. Their dietary habits are also filled with a touch of life's zest—beyond the three meals a day, they often include desserts like cake. Wang Denghui believes the most crucial factor is the elderly maintaining a positive attitude and spending time with family. Additionally, the elderly receive a monthly allowance of 500 yuan as a 'respect for the elderly benefit', supplemented by comprehensive community elder care services, which allows them to have no worries in their later years. Tang Hui, the Party Branch Secretary of San Dun Village, disclosed that there are over 30 people over 90 years old in the village and four people over 100, reflecting the village's proactive elderly care culture.
