Recently, in response to the brake pedal bracket fracture issue of the Zhunjie V800 car model on October 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the Market Supervision Administration have announced the formation of a joint investigation team to conduct a comprehensive investigation. They will handle it in accordance with the law and regulations, and the results will be released to the public at an appropriate time. Previously, a test video posted by an automotive media outlet showed that brake pedal brackets of three newly acquired Zhunjie V800 models fractured during an emergency braking test at speeds from 100km/h to 0. The clip quickly spread on the internet, raising public concerns about the braking system safety of the upscale multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). The Zhunjie V800 is reported to be a luxury MPV jointly launched by Haval Motors and Huawei, which was released in August with a starting price of 766,000 RMB and a top price exceeding one million RMB. Haval Motors has already issued an official response, stating that the braking system was developed to surpass national and industry standards. The first batch of vehicles delivered to users have not yet shown any signs of brake pedal bracket fractures under regular usage. The car manufacturer stated that they will further optimize component designs and provide free upgrade solutions for existing owners. They will also conduct a comprehensive review of design, testing, and production management. The establishment of this national-level joint investigation team demonstrates the authorities' serious attention to this issue and their commitment to ensuring that car manufacturing meets the highest national and industry standards. The results will be promptly released to restore public confidence in automotive products.
