Yurux Robotics, a leading player in China's humanoid robotics industry, saw its new H2-X 'Legend of Kung Fu' bot break a leg during a side flip demo at the 2026 World Physics AI Conference and Yurux Partner Ecosystem Conference in Hangzhou, only a day after its release.

The H2-X 'Legend of Kung Fu Guardian', released on October 21, was showcased in promotional videos that demonstrated its powerful capabilities, such as lifting a car hood, kicking in car doors, and performing a side flip from a 4-meter high platform, emphasizing 'high impact resistance and strength.' The video highlighted its use in security and emergency rescue scenarios.

However, the bot's failure raised questions about the durability of humanoid robots during high-dynamic action. Despite this, the company's stock surged 20% to close at 624 RMB on the next trading day (October 23), indicating market interest in the physical AI sector. It's noteworthy that Yurux's CEO, Wang Xingxing, discussed the challenges faced by robots transitioning from demos to practical applications, emphasizing the alignment between AI model inputs and the real-world performance of mechanical robots as the key challenge.
