On October 20, several top officials bid heartfelt farewell to Senior Police Constable Chu Chun-kwok, who passed away at age 52 in August 2023 after being paralyzed in a duty-related attack in 2005.
A funeral ceremony was held at the Universal Funeral Parlour, followed by a farewell ceremony at Cheung Sha Wan Police Station.
The ritual included a flag draped on Chu Chun-kwok's coffin, carried by police officers on a hearse converted from a police vehicle, with a portrait of him mounted at the front. The police band led the procession, and mourners lined up outside the funeral parlour to bid farewell to Chu. This was followed by a farewell event at Cheung Sha Wan Police Station before his interment.
