US President Donald Trump expressed his willingness on Monday to hold a tripartite meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss issues such as nuclear weapons, denuclearization, and the end of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
This marks a possible warming in Trump’s relations with Moscow, but China has remained tight-lipped on the subject. Putin had previously suggested this idea, but during Trump’s time campaigning in the US, the former did not make any firm response to it.
Citing a source, it was said that the White House is currently planning to hold this trilateral summit during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Shenzhen, China, scheduled from November 18 to 19. However, this is still in the exploratory stage.
