甲狀腺癌成青年「頭號癌症」。

In the latest national cancer data, patterns of common cancers have undergone a major shift in the last two decades.

According to the latest report from the National Cancer Center, thyroid cancer has surged to the third-leading incidence rate, surpassing stomach and esophageal cancers among young people. Lung cancer continues to be both the leading cause of incidence and death. Experts attribute the increased detection rates to the widespread use of screenings and stress that the public should not be unduly alarmed.

Leading Cancer Among Young People: The report shows that thyroid cancer is now the leading cancer among both males and females aged 20 to 59. Experts analyze that the surge in thyroid cancer cases is not due to an increased mortality risk but rather the widespread use of neck ultrasound and computerized tomography (CT) in routine health checks, leading to a certain extent of 'overdiagnosis', with extremely high five-year survival rates.
