Two former senior executives of Johnson Cleaning Services Company Limited, William Fung and Jimmy Lee, have been charged by the ICAC for allegedly accepting bribes totaling more than HK$75 million in connection with the procurement of cleaning vehicles and maintenance services. Fung, 54, a former director of Johnson Cleaning Services and CEO of the parent company, and Lee, 57, the former general manager, were each charged with one count of conspiracy for an agent to accept advantages under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance and the Crimes Ordinance on October 30. Between November 2024 and January 2026, Johnson spent over HK$160 million on multiple fleets of cleaning vehicles and ongoing maintenance services from a supplier, with the charges alleging that Fung and Lee conspired to accept these bribes as compensation for showing favor to the supplier in their business dealings.
During the period of the alleged offenses, Fung managed Johnson's business, including subcontracts, purchase orders, and payment releases, while Lee was directly supervised by him. Johnson has cooperated fully with the ICAC's investigation, and the commission has stated it may pursue further charges as the investigation continues.
