Emergency repairs following a burst water pipe in Shau Kei Wan have been completed, and fresh water supply to users in the area has resumed at 9:30 PM on Tuesday. According to the Water Supplies Department, due to the complexity of the piping system, residents at the end of the network or at higher elevations may have to wait up to three to four hours before receiving fresh water. The department will continue to supply water via trucks and tanks until the normal water supply is fully restored. The milky or slightly turbid appearance of the water during restoration is also noted as a normal occurrence.
