HKSAR Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the two-day APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting was open and substantive, covering macroeconomic policies, infrastructure financing, and digital cooperation. The joint statement issued was a rare achievement given the varying positions and considerations of participating economies.
Chan stated that the outcomes could facilitate cross-border financing and listings, highlighting Hong Kong's importance in these areas.
Chan mentioned that members of the 21 participating APEC economies had a very positive impression of Hong Kong, and found the meeting arrangements smooth and satisfactory.
