A clarification was provided by the Wuxi Municipal Hospital in Zhejiang Province, which stated that two employees were found to have drowned while on a private vacation in Thailand. Contrary to rumors, Thai police verified that there was no evidence of murder or organ removal.
In a recent development, a rumor circulating online suggested that two Chinese tourists had been murdered and had their organs removed in Thailand. However, the Wuxi Municipal Hospital in Zhejiang Province has clarified that two of its employees, Wang Moumou and Wu Moumou, died of drowning in a hotel pool during a private vacation in Thailand.
According to the hospital, Wang and Wu traveled to Thailand privately on October 9 and met their untimely deaths in the hotel pool on October 10. The hospital received notification from the Songkla Consulate on October 13 regarding the deaths.
In response to the online rumors, the hospital stated that after verification by Thai police, there was no evidence of murder or organ removal. The statement from the hospital indicated that the deaths were due to drowning, not foul play.
Currently, the hospital has arranged for staff to accompany family members to Thailand to handle the aftermath and will enhance safety reminders for employees traveling abroad, ensuring such incidents do not occur again.
