On October 31st, another bus went off course and hit a traffic sign in the ceiling at the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Border Inspection Hall in the newly operational Hung Hom Port. Around 3 PM, a double-decker bus traveling from Tiu Kui Tianfu to the new Hung Hom Port committed the mistake while the driver appeared to be unfamiliar with the area, causing it to drive into the lower level of the joint inspection building's cross-border bus waiting area and collide with the traffic sign in the ceiling. Thankfully, no one was injured. The Transport Department expressed concern over the incident and has instructed the bus operating company to enhance driver training for route navigation, to ensure road safety and smooth transit through the Hung Hom Port Public Transport Interchange, maintaining the smooth operation of traffic in the port. This is the second incident of its kind in the past two weeks, with the first occurring on October 18th. On that day, at 11:36 AM, a bus traveling from Kai Fong to the new Hung Hom Port also misdirected into the lower level of the joint inspection building and collided with the traffic sign in the ceiling. The bus roof glass sustained cracks without any passengers being injured.

On October 12, the newly opened Hung Hom Port had another incident where a double-decker bus veered off course and collided with a traffic sign in the ceiling. This happened around 3 PM when a bus running from Tiu Kui Tianfu to the Hung Hom Port was misdirected into the lower level of the joint inspection building's cross-border bus waiting area. The driver, unfamiliar with the new environment, caused the incident without any casualties. The Transport Department has since requested the bus company to reinforce training for drivers on route navigation to ensure safety and efficient transit at the Hung Hom Port Public Transport Interchange. This marks the second such incident in two weeks; on October 18, another bus veering off-course struck a traffic sign in the ceiling, leading to cracks in the bus's roof glass, though again without any injuries.

Since the Hung Hom Port commenced operations on October 12, two instances of buses veering off course and colliding with traffic signs in the ceiling have occurred within a two-week period. On October 12, a bus traveling from Tiu Kui Tianfu misdirected into the lower level of the joint inspection building's cross-border bus waiting area, causing an impact with the traffic sign in the ceiling. On October 18, a bus on the Kai Fong route similarly veered off course, damaging its roof glass upon collision with a traffic sign in the same area. The Transport Department has taken note and instructed the bus company to intensify driver training on route navigation to ensure better safety and smooth transit at the Hung Hom Port Public Transport Interchange.
