At the 19th Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan, Hong Kong’s women’s foil team secured a silver medal by narrowly losing to the national team, 12-30.

The Hong Kong team was consistently on the backfoot throughout the match. Despite efforts to recapture momentum after losing the first three relay bouts, the national team proved to be the stronger team. A new 30-point format featuring six relays, introduced this year, presented a significant challenge to the Hong Kong squad.

Team member Yu Chui-yee acknowledged the need to refine their tactics and emphasized the importance of learning from their experience in Nagoya to better prepare for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic qualifiers.
